The folder you put the game in might be preventing the game from writing the savefiles. Try putting it on the desktop or something and test if that changes something.
Not sure if it was because I was running it off a thumb drive or because it's file extension was buried, but moving it to the desktop fixed it, thanks 👍

I've installed the bug fixer but still can't make saves, is this a me issue or game issue?
